A large assembly to introduce the characters to the school led by the headmaster of Beacon in which the students Mei Ming and Grim Ceifeiro were involved. All other students, except for Auric, Sable, and Cole, and professors are part of Beacon and therefore not accounted for as most will not be attending Shade. Those chararacters are Zeroshi, Nell, Royce, Heather, A lot of interaction between characters occurred before the headmistress's speech, as friends gathered together and met each other while waiting until everyone was present. Although the speech did not include very riveting conversation, the roleplay was relaxed in just chatting with friends and being weird. No story involving plots were brought into play. While there were a couple of demonstrations via the professors of Beacon, they typically served no other purpose than small humor.

Yín stood onstage in the auditorium, her fellow professors sitting on chairs behind her. The new freshmen were standing before her. This was tradition; one professor always addressed the new students at the beginning of the year. It was her turn now. She cleared her throat and prepared to speak...
Auric and Sable were in the audience. They looked at all the students around them, and the official-looking people onstage. They recognized Professors Oliver and Valentine among them. "Wonder what all this is about," Auric mused. "I think we'll find out shortly,"
Sable said quietly.
Zeroshi leaned against the wall as he looked around the auditorium. He pulled up his scarf to hide his fangs from wondering eyes
"Auric, Sable!!" Nell shouted, the Amazon waving her arms. Royce was fallowing her though he was obviously lost in thought.
"Oh look, friend-people," Auric said in an attempt to be humorous. "Let's go join them I guess," Sable said. With that, the pair made their way to Nell and Royce.
"It's so good to see you!" She said picking up Sable and giving her a big hug.
Sable looked visibly panicked at being embraced in such a manner. "Oh yeah, she doesn't really do the physical embrace thing that much," Auric said.
Heather was in the back of the auditorium, watching the rest of the students that are among her. She spots a certain student and walks over to her.
As Rayn sure closely to the stage she turns around slightly and catches a glimpse of Heather in the corner of her eye and turns around completely. Heather walks up a little faster and Rayn walks up and hugs her, "Val!" She departs the embrace, "It's so good to see you!" Heather looks at her friend and thinks, 'We saw each other just last week it's not like it's been years.' Heather smiles at her and Rayn drags her up into the front, "Ray, you know I dont like the front.." Rayn rolls her eyes and Heather sighs, knowing she won't agree to be in the back.
Zeroshi raised his eyebrow at the small group and chuckled.He continued to people watch with a smirk on his feet." At least this will be interesting "
"Well let's just hope her sternum doesn't get crushed. We wouldn't want to repeat what happened last time." Royce snarked. Nell put Sable down.
"Thank you," Sable said quietly as she hugged herself loosely and hunched her shoulders forward. "Are you alright dearest?" Auric asked her softly. "I'll live," Sable replied softly. "Please don't do that without warning," she said to Nell.
"Sorry, it's just when your only company is this smartass it's hard not to be overwhelmed" She said pointing to Royce. "Are you implying that I'm not good company?" He said.
"I forgot how much fun it is with you two around," Auric said as he shook his head with a small grin on his face.
"You'd be the first actually" Royce replied.
"Wonder why that would be," Sable said sarcastically.
Royce smirked at the comment before noticing Yin on stage. His normal demeanor slightly shifted into one of uneasiness.
"What's up?" Auric asked, noticing Royce's change in expression.
"It's.......Nothing" He said. Nell quickly grabbed and twisted his arm "OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!" He yelled. "I'll let go if you tell us the truth." She said.
"O-kay, something is clearly up here," Auric said, confused by this.
Yín was still onstage, waiting for a few stragglers to show up.
Royce starts taping "OK OK, just let go" He begged. Nell let go of his arm. "It's, Professor Yin." He said "She.....Scares me"
"Wait, the snake lady up there?" Auric asked. "Why are you afraid of her?" "I wonder....should I introduce myself? " he asked himself
"Yeah, she's nice" Nell said "Why would a teacher need to know what you fear most?" Royce said "That and, just something about the way she carries herself"
"Seems fine to me," Auric said. "That is a weird question though." "She teaches strategy, right?" Sable asked. "Maybe it's to help her make a good curriculum?"
"Yeah, stop worrying about it " Said Nell
"Well I'm me so I can't" Royce retorted.
"Everything will be fine," Auric said. "Most likely," Sable said.
Royce was still unconvinced. "Soooo, what have you 2 been up too" Nell said trying to change the subject. Not much,"
Auric said. "We figured it would be best for Sable to crash with my family and I while we waited for the semester to start, so we did that," he said. "It was interesting, to say the least," Sable said.
Rayn looked to the other students chatting, "Shall we introduce ourselves?" She says as she already started walking over towards them, "No!" Heather rushed over to her and stopped her in her tracks. "Why not?" Rayn said looking curiously at her, "I just..." Rayn grabbed her arm and dragged her over towards the group of students. "Hi guys." Heather said while looking down a bit, kind of nervous. "My name is Rayn, although you can call me Ray if you'd like." She said sticking one of her hands out.
"Oh hey," Auric said as Rayn and Heather came over. "Nice to meet you Ray. I'm Auric Halcyon. And you're Heather right? We met earlier." "Sable Midnight," she said.
"Wonderful, more people" Royce snarked. "Don't be rude" Nell kicked his shin "Oh God why!" Royce grabbed his shin "Forgive my friend, I'm Nell and the idiot is Royce." She said.
Sylvan
"Damn, I'm late! Augh, why does this always happen?!" The odd-haired boy was trying to double his pace, cutting through the swathes of people on the grounds in a desperate attempt to make it before the professors introduced themselves. Was the day screwing with him on purpose? Well, it wasn't fair to say it had been ALL bad. After all, the package had reached it's intended recipient, albeit accidentally. Maybe fate had it out for him? Either way, Sylvan wasn't about to let his old habits get the best of him...not at Beacon, anyway.
Reaching the auditorium without further annoyances, he skidded at the entranceway and slipped in, offering a quick wave to the guards outside the doors. Man, those Atlas mechs, though. Marvels of engineering. The boy disabled his wheels, trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible as he ducked into the back of the main room, finding a vacant seat in the back row...hopefully he hadn't caused a disturbance.
Yín
Yín was almost through waiting. <At least most of them are here,> she thought as an annoyed look crossed her face.
Auric and Sable
Meanwhile, Auric and Sable were laughing at Royce's pain.
Patchouli
Patchouli, noticing the rambunctious boy enter turned to the other professors, "It appears that we have a few stragglers, would it be best to give them a little more time before the renown Professor Arstat begins her speech?" she asked the ones sitting beside her.
Amaranth
"I down with whatever" Said Amaranth.
Yín
"I'm debating that," Yín said. "We'e already given them a sizeable amount of time, but if you two believe we should give them more time, then I suppose I will comply."
Patchouli
"Quite noticeably," Patchouli said, then turned to Yín, "I understand, however, we would prefer all the new students to hear this marvelous speech, would we?"
Royce
"Yeah keep laughing" Royce said
Amaranth
"Marvelous and creepy" Amaranth snarked
Sylvan
Trying to catch the ashen-haired instructor's gaze, Sylvan offered a grin, waving slightly.
Amaranth
"Hey Yin, looks like you have an admirer" Amaranth said referring to Sylvan.
Yín
"I resent that Amaranth," Yín said somewhat bitterly. "Remember that I tolerate you for the time being. Oh look, it's that young man from the other day."
Auric and Sable
Auric and Sable, meanwhile, were trying to stop laughing. "Sorry Royce," Auric said between breaths. "It's just, I appreciate a good slapstick act."
Patchouli
"My, my, you are right. My memory really is foggy these days," Patchouli sighed, "And can't we get along better? Really."
Yín
"He started it," Yín said.
Patchouli
"I wasn't accusing you of anything, Professor Arstat, really. Must you be so aggressive?" Patchouli said.
Amaranth
"Joke Yin. It's a joke. Seriously get a sense of humor" Said Amaranth.
Patchouli
"Now now, we mustn't all gang up on Professor Arstat, Professor Oliver," Pathcouli said to Amaranth
Yín
Yín hissed briefly and quietly and said, "Apologies, Amaranth. I am simply irate because of the stragglers. And really, must you always pronounce my name incorrectly?"
Heather and Rayn
Heather looked at Auric and Sable, "Yeah, it's nice to meet you both." Rayn turned to the students she hasn't met yet, "And your names?"
Asher
Asher was staying silent, she didn't want to be involved in the childlike argument around her.
Amaranth
"I only do it because I care" Said Amaranth.
Nell and Royce
"I'm Nell and my samrtass here is Royce" Nell said to Rayn.
Heather and Rayn
"Nice to meet you both." Heather said answering for Rayn. "Sorry if we interrupted something. Ray likes to just budge in when she feels." She said knudging Rayn's arm.
Royce
"Trust me I know the feeling" Royce said.
Yín
Yín shook her head. "You are infuriating," she said.
Auric
"It's fine," Auric said.
Amaranth
"I love you too" Amaranth retorted with a grin.
Sylvan
Sylvan rested his chin on his wrist, watching the two instructors on stage whispering to each other. They...were certainly a lively bunch. When was everything supposed to continue? He was certainly one to talk, being one of the stragglers.
Yín
"I think we have an audience," Yín said, referring to some of the students who were looking at them as they conversed.
Amaranth
"Oh, do we?" Amaranth said looking at Sylvan giving a little wave.
Yín
"Perhaps I should give them an update," Yín said.
Amaranth
"Probably a good idea" Amaranth agreed.
Yín
"Then I shall," Yín said. She got up from her seat with her fellow faculty and stood at the podium. She cleared her throat to get the students' attention. "We may want to hear what she has to say," Auric said to the small group of students.

Heather looked around at the other students and looked back on stage to see her mom and the combat instructor. She turned to see who he was waving to and noticed another student. She carefully exited the group and walked towards him. But halfway there she felt an arm pull her wrist, she turned around and saw Rayn. "What do you think you're doing?" Heather turned to look at the student, "I was going to introduce myself. Now let go." She said trying to break free. "May I join? He could be a boytoy." Heather rolls her eyes, "Not all guys are boytoys. So no, you can't join me." She said walking off and Rayn walked back to the group.
Heather kept walking towards the student, whilst listening to the professor. She stood beside him, "Hi." She said a bit quietly but loud enough for him to hear her.
Yín
"Students, if I may have your attention for a moment," Yín said into the microphone.
Sylvan
Sylvan's eyes widened slightly. He couldn't hear them from back where he was sitting, but it was still slightly unsettling. The odd-eyed professor looked...slightly scary. Just a touch. He smiled sheepishly, trying to find an excuse to look away...
The sudden voice to his left broke his concentration, turning to come face-to-face with a set of red eyes. Whoa, where did she come from? Sylvan couldn't hide his surprise, offering a light grin. "Uh...h-hey there," he whispered back.
Yín
"I thank you all for being so patient," Yín said. "Unfortunately, we must keep you here a bit longer, as some of your peers are rather late."
Auric
"Wonder who it could be," Auric said under his breath.
Heather
"I'm Heather. But I go by Val because my last name is Valentine." She smiles shyly and heard the professors announcement and looks on stage, "I guess we'll be a bit longer."
Amaranth
"Hey Ash, looks like Heather found a new friend" Amaranth mentioned.
Asher
Asher sighs and looks over where she is, "Great, it's the straggler too."
Heather
Heather notices her mom's glare and ignores it.
Sylvan
"S-Sylvan. Sylvan Aquos." She was an interesting one, with her hair a peculiar shade of purple...in a way, it kind of paralleled his blue, even if it was just a streak in his naturally black hair. "Yeah...I kind of feel bad for coming in so late, actually..." ESPECIALLY with how he had run into Yín earlier.
Yín
"That is all for now. Thank you for your time," Yín said. With that, she sat back down. As she did, she noticed Sylvan and Heather. This caused her to smile a bit. <How cute,> she thought.
Heather
"The only reason I'm ever early is because my mother is a professor here. But don't feel bad, you could be later. As seen that we're going to be kept here a little longer because of that." She says laughing a little and sitting down.
Amaranth
"He looks like a nice guy Ash. No need to get all glarey" Said Amaranth
Yín
"Don't discount him just because of a simple slip," Yín said. "We know nothing of his true character. He seems to be well-meaning, if nothing else."
Amaranth
"Agreed Yin." Amaranth said.
Asher
She rolls her eyes, "Fine, but if he even thinks about hurting my daughter..." She said a bit harshly, "Sorry, motherly instincts..." She said calming down
Yín
"It's alright," Yín said. "I don't blame you. Just keep those instincts in check."
Sylvan
"Y-yeah..." This was quite true, after all, the ones that took longer either didn't see the importance of being at least REASONABLY interested in meeting their peers, or finding a good team. Pickings were...certainly interesting, from what Sylvan had heard. The introductory mission was going to be fun.
Amaranth
"I'll break his arm if he does something." Amaranth offered.
Asher
"I'm usually good at it. I guess it's just the initiation." She shrugs and looks away from Heather and wonders her eyes on the other students.
Heather
Heather looked at Sylvan, "Are you nervous?"
Asher
Asher laughed a little, "I could always drain him of his energy. He would be in the hospital for a week." She said jokingly. "But thanks for the offer."
Yín
"I could poison him," Yín offered. "Any idea who we're waiting on?" Auric asked those that remained with him.
Asher
Asher laughs, "Thanks Yin, but I'm sure he's an okay student."
Amaranth
"Wow, hey look at her" Amaranth gestured to Nell "She's taller than anyone here"
Asher
"She must have a lot of aura." Asher said aloud
Sylvan
"Who, me?" He thought for a moment, trying to forget about earlier. At Signal, Sylvan had done his best to stay in-the-know about the Grimm and combat strategies to use against them, despite his usual lateness. He glanced down at the two silver and blue wristguards attached to his thighs. Hopefully he ended up in a team that could balance his tendency to practically DANCE into battle, due to his fighting style requiring high agility. He'd have to hope that he had cover...so yes, maybe he was a bit nervous. Just a touch. Instead of outright lying to the girl, he chuckled, scratching his neck. "Maybe a bit, yeah."
Noticing the professors on stage whispering once more, the other he assumed was Heather's mother, he could swear that they were talking about him. Sylvan cocked an eyebrow at Yín, wondering what she was going on about…
Royce
"When are the other people going to get here?" Asked Royce.
Auric and Sable
"Not a clue," Sable said. "Soon I hope," Auric said.
Heather
"I'm more nervous than a bit." She said laughing a little. "I mean, it would be nice to be on a team that can help with my personal fighting style. I just hope everything works out." She said while catching his face towards the teachers, "The processors are all nice once you get to know them." She said smiling at him
Patchouli
"I believe we are still waiting on Miss Mei Ming and Mr. Cole Tarnung as well as Grim Ceifeiro, I believe I cannot add an appropriate title there," Patchouli added in, counting the present students.
Yín
"Ah yes," Yín said. "How strange, Mr. Tarnung didn't seem like the type to be late when I spoke with him earlier."
Sylvan
"That's...what I was thinking, too." Funny, she was on the same page as him. "And I'm sure they are, but they've been going back and forth for a bit...kinda suspicious, dontcha think?"
Nell
Nell began sketching the professors while Royce subtly watched.
Auric and Sable
Auric took out his deck of trading cards and idly levitated them around using his telekinesis. Sable inspected Syalla.
Heather
"They do that. They just like to conversate." She said whilst looking at her mom, "Except my mother is really a 'one sentence a minute' type person." She said laughing a little.
Patchouli
"Odd indeed," Patchouli said in regards to Yín.
Amaranth
Amaranth noticed Nell sketching and tried doing the rabbit ears behind Yin.
Yín
Yín grabbed Amaranth's arm from behind her. She brought it in front of her and held his forearm with one hand. With her other hand, she grasped his fingers and pointed them toward the ceiling. Then, she rotated them away from her, causing sharp pain in Amaranth's wrist.
Grim
Grim entered the auditorium aimlessly, not knowing there was some sort of event going on or why was happening and walked to the center of the auditorium not noticing everyone seated and the teachers in from of it. When it did, it kind of stopped in its tracks and just stood there... in front of the teachers and everyone. "Hi..." it said quietly, then ran to the back of the auditorium and sat down.
Heather
Heather looked at what was going on, on the stage and started laughing a little. "I think Yin should be our combat instructor." She laughed a bit more.
Amaranth
Amaranth bit his lip. "Damn it women, take a joke"
Asher
Asher noticed a student that was now in the back of the auditorium. She was curious who they were, but didn't want to go and ask.
Yín
Yín hissed briefly as she twisted Amaranth's fingers a little more before saying, "Why thank you Asher." She noticed another student sit down in the back of the auditorium. "I believe that would be Mr. Ceifeiro," she said.
Amaranth
"Never gonna tap" He told Yin.
Patchouli
Patchouli glared at Yín and said, "Professor Arstat! Enough!" She looked at the student who entered oddly and corrected Yín, "I believe it is neither Miss or Mister. Their papers gave no indication of gender."
Ashet
"Ceifeiro?" She said lifting an eyebrow, "What is their semblance?" She asked turning to Yin.
Yín
"You're no fun," Yín said as she released Amaranth. "And if I recall correctly Asher, it's something to do with wormholes."
Amaranth
"Pot meet kettle" Amaranth retorted. "Our combat instructor is kind of a dork" Said Nell.
Patchouli
"In case you have forgotten, fun is not a matter of concern for us," Patchouli said to Yín, "And yes.. something like that." She simply sighed at Amaranth's words.
Asher
"Wormholes?" She said questioning, "Interesting.." She said while thinking of how that could work.
Yín
"Even we need to relax sometimes Patchouli," Yín said. "It's called leisure. It's nice. You should try it sometime. The White Fang isn't breaking down our doors quite yet."
Grim
Grim started to space out, feeling tired. Then realized there were students around it, "Hi," it said simply.
Amaranth
"You're idea of relaxing is very disturbing Yin" Amaranth stated
Auric
"Oh, hey there," Auric said to the new student who seemed to have materialized out of thin air. "Sorry, didn't see you there. Uh, nice to meet you."
Sylvan
"Haha, yeah..." That...might be an ideal scenario, actually. Yín certainly seemed like an interesting one...Sylvan silently wondered what her semblance was.
Heather
Heather looked towards the student that had talked, "Hello." She smiled a bit.
Yín
"Really, Amaranth?" Yín deadpanned. "Going over and trying to improve upon strategies of old is disturbing to you?"
Asher
Asher looked at Sylvan, "What is his name?" She wasn't asking anyone in particular.
Sylvan
"Sylvan Aquos," Yín said. "He's a delivery boy and apparently a new student here."
Amaranth
"The way you do it. Seriously the look on your face is the stuff nightmares" Amaranth said.
Yín
"Well excuse me for being enthusiastic about my work," Yín snarked.
Amaranth
"There's enthusiasm and the there's sadistic pleasure" Amaranth retorted.
Asher
She scoffs, "Delivery boy?"
Amaranth
"Gotta make money somehow Ash" He said.
Grim
"Greetings," it stated simply to Auric, "I'm nobody, actually that's not true. I'm the Grim Reaper. What are you?"
Royce
"No" Royce replied to Grim.
Yín
"Yes," Yín said. "He delivered me a package yesterday as a matter of fact. I will say, he is a bit overly flashy, rollerskating everywhere." "Yeah, I don't buy that," Auric said. "As for me, I'm Auric Halcyon, and this is my dear companion Sable Midnight." "Hello," Sable said. "The mountain with furry ears there is Nell, and the buzzkill is Royce," Auric said.
Asher
"Rollerskating? You're kidding." Asher looked to Yin.
Amaranth
"Pffffffffffffffff" Amaranth tried not to start laughing.
Yín
"Believe it or not, I speak true," Yín said. "He does all sorts of jumps and what not, even when he's carrying a package. Rather reckless, in my opinion."
Asher
"Reckless indeed." Asher agreed
Patchouli
"I can confirm that," Patchouli piped in.
Amaranth
"I way was worse when I was his age" Amaranth said.
Asher
Asher looked to Amaranth, "How so?"
Yín
"Not surprising," Yín said.
Patchouli
"I wouldn't want to know," Patchouli said, rolling her eyes slightly.
Amaranth
"Oh, bar fights, car jackings, fighting on top of a moving train." Amaranth said.
Yín
"Now THAT seems a bit farfetched," Yín said.
Amaranth
"Yeah, it was going very fast" He replied.
Grim
"Wait, oh okay. Nice to know, I guess. I'm not sure how to resond to this. I'll just respond like how normal people do, I'll say my name back, Ill go do that then. I am normal. NORMAL," it said to Auric and Sable, a little flustered and picked at the petals on its sycthe which it carried everywhere.
Royce
"What. The. Hell." Said Royce.
Auric
"Heh. Paradox...I think?" Auric said.
Yín
Yín rolled her eyes.
Patchouli
"How long ago was this?" Patchouli asked to Amaranth.
Asher
"Probably just last year," Asher joked
Yín
"More than likely," Yín said.
Amaranth
"Let's, I'm 28 sooooooo, about 10 years." He answered laughing at Asher's joke.
Yín
"Of course," Yín said dubiously.
Asher
She rolled her eyes

It stared at them for a long time.
Amaranth
"Though I do, indulge in my old habits from time to time" Said Amaranth.
Heather
Heather looked at Sylvan, "So, what's your semblance?" She asked a little curiously but regretted it a bit since she didn't want Sylvan to ask what hers is.
Patchouli
"Do you now?" Patchouli said, "Now, we are still waiting for two other students, are we?"
Yín
"Yes, Mr. Tarnung and Ms. Ming," Yín said.
Auric
"Uhh..." Auric didn't know what to do. "Sooooo...what's up?"
Amaranth
"Yes Patchouli, but a gentleman never tells" Said Amaranth.
Grim
"Oh, was I staring at you? I apologize..." it said softly, "And the answer to your question is the sky, unless it isn't the sky. Sometimes. Should I shout okay bye and start running? Should I? Is it okay to run? Do you give me permission to run?"
Auric
"The professors want us to stay here for something or another," Auric said.
Nell and Royce
Nell and Royce just looked at each other in confusion.
Sylvan
Sylvan offered a sheepish smile at Heather, trying to think of a way to describe his ability. "Well...it's...kind of the creation of a type of light beam known as hardlight." How could he describe it, though? "Basically, I can charge up my aura and generate a kind of trail made of solidified light breams that can be used offensively and defensively. It's...a bit of a drain on my aura, but I can infuse it with the dust ammunition in my weapon and give it elemental properties. So, basically think of it as a way to generate a kind of beam shield."
Patchouli
"I believe that is correct," Patchouli sighed, "We may have to continue without the two."
Yín
"You've been quiet for quite a while Professor Walsh," Yín said. "What are your thoughts on the matter?"
Amaranth
"Yeah, come on Vermilion." Amaranth said enthusiastically.
Heather
"That's very cool." Heather said enthusiastically.
Grim
"Curses," Grim said, "I am trapped. What have I done?"
Sable
"Come to school," Sable said.
Sylvan
"You...think so?" It was certainly far more interesting to see in action; he practically danced around Grimm and followed up with quick flurries of slashes from his whipswords, while simultaneously creating beams to give them an icy reception. Whips were an art, at least, that's how his mom had described it.

"Done!" Royce said throwing his arms up. "Royce no!" Nell scolded. Royce sat in a chair, crossed his arms and closed his eyes. "Damn it all!" Said a frustrated Nell.

Vermilion snapped back to reality. "What?" She had a vaguely confused expression. "I was miles away. Sorry."
Amaranth
"Finally, you looked like you were on drug trip" Said Amaranth.
Heather
"Yeah it's really cool. My semblance is kind of lame in my opinion. It isn't very useful." She admitted.
Yín
"We were asking whether you thought we should start without the two students we've been waiting on," Yín said. "We have given them more than enough time and they still haven't shown up."
Vermilion
"Than by all means. Also, I don't use hallucinogenic substances." Vermilion said testily.
Asher
Asher was focusing on Heather and Sylvan and smiled a little, 'She seems to be having fun,' she thought
Amaranth
"Does no one have sense of humor?" Amaranth complained.
Sylvan
"Thanks..." But her semblance, boring? Sylvan always believed that the semblance was a reflection of the soul, and that everyone was unique in their own ways. "I can't imagine that, we're all unique."
Heather
"I use my weapon more than my semblance. My semblance is well.." she starts forming a red smoke cloud to the left of her and scratched the back of her head. "This.."
Nell and Royce
"Why do you do this to me me?" Nell complained, shaking Royce.
Yín
"Very well then," Yín said. She stood up, hissed briefly and said, "Let's get this show on the road."
Grim
"Wait... I don't know how to respond to this. You're very clever," Grim said, "Do you want the silver paper?" Grim takes out a pack of gum and offers some, but they are only wrappers.
Sylvan
Smoke, huh? That was...actually incredibly useful, he thought to himself as he watched the red cloud form. It'd certainly be useful on the field, providing that she could produce enough of it to shroud a small group of people. In fact...it might pair up with his own semblance. Use the smoke to cloud the area, then come spiraling out of it like a whirlwind. "That's...really cool, actually. I can think of a bunch of ways that it could be used tactically in combination with other semblances."
Auric and Sable
"Is that gum?" Auric asked. "I think it's just the wrappers," Sable said. "Oh wait, something's happening!" Auric said as he saw Professor Arstat stand up.
Nell and Royce
Nell slapped Royce over the head. "Pay attention!" She scolded.
Patchouli
"Finally," Patchouli sighed.

Grim stared at the professors, kind of there, kind of eh.

"Choke choke choke choke" Amaranth mumbled to himself.

Once again, Yín stepped up to the podium and cleared her throat. "Students, if I may have your attention," she said.

Auric and Sable turned to look at her.

Heather looked towards the professor and so did Rayn.

Sylvan snapped to attention as the professor approached the podium once more, watching her intently.

Patchouli sent a small glare to Amaranth, then directed her attention to Yín.

Yín hissed briefly before speaking. "Thank you ever so much for your patience," she said. "I'm afraid not everyone is here, but I think we've waited for them long enough. As some of you may know, I am Professor Yín Arstat. It is the job of me and my peers to make you into capable Huntsmen and Huntresses. I look out at all of you here, and I see potential and energy, but no direction. We will change that."
Grim
"Who's that? Oh wait, nevermind, she just said who," Grim whispered then shut up.
Heather
Heather scoffs, "I have direction."
Nell and Royce
"That's an understatement" Said Nell looking at Royce who gave her the finger.
Amaranth
Amaranth gave grin to Patchouli.

"Some of you may already think you have what it takes," Yín said. "That coming to this school is a waste of time. Well let me tell you now: Thinking like that WILL get you killed. If you want to succeed and survive in this career field, you need this training. At this school, everyone can be a friend...or a foe. That's for you to decide."

Yin's last words sent chills done Royce's spine.

Patchouli smiled in the back and tapped her chin.

Heather smiled at Yin's words, "she's very humble."

Amaranth put his hands in his trench coat pockets and pulled out a small opened envelope. His simile faded a bit and quickly put back in his pocket.

Sylvan twitched slightly at Yín's words, looking around the auditorium. Foes? That...did NOT sound good at all. But it was inevitable, wasn't it? They would butt heads regardless, it was just a matter of avoiding them...hopefully. He didn't want to make any enemies here.
Auric and Sable
Auric gulped a bit. Sable felt a little uneasy.

Yín turned to her fellow faculty and said, "Did any of you want to say anything before I move on?"

Amaranth stood up "May I?"
Yín
"But of course," Yín said as she stepped back from the podium. She went back and took her seat.
Amaranth
"Name's Amaranth." He scratched the back if his head unsure what he wanted to say "Look, your time here won't be easy. Friends. Foes. The only person that will determine your success in you. But I, and my fellow teachers will help you." He said "Now I'll turn it over back to Yin, unless anyone else would like to say their piece?" He said looking to his fellow teachers.
Asher
Asher stands up, "May I?" She said a bit nervous but shakes it off

"Ma Lady" Said Amaranth as he took a seat.
Asher
She bows her head and stands in front of the podium, "I, am Professor Valentine. I will be teaching you how to control your aura. In battle, your semblance use should be planned accordingly. In order to demonstrate, I need a volunteer." She said smirking

Nell raised Royce's hand.
Asher
Asher nods, "Please come up on stage Mr..?" She intended for him to tell her his last name.
Royce
"Royce" He said apathetically walking up the stage. Nell tried to hold back her laughter.

"Oh, shoot, there went my chance," Grim whispered, but continued to pay attention.

"Well...Royce," she said a little irritated that he said his first name, "What is your semblance?" She said walking over towards him

"Plasma manipulation" He said.
Asher
"True or false; it is possible to give off 1% of your aura to activate your semblance?" She said smiling

Royce thought a bit "Guess it depends on the person?"
"Or Yes?"
Asher
"Wrong. You have to supply at least 5% of your aura to activate it. However, yes it does depend on the person for how much more aura you require to activate it."

"Royce, do you know what percent of your aura you require to activate your semblance?" She looks calm, almost too calm and gives off a soft smile.

"Depends on the situation" He answered.

<What's her game?> Yín wondered internally as she watched, fixated on the exchange.

"Wrong again. Your semblance activation always requires the same amount of aura every time. However, it differs in the amount of aura to actually use it."

Mei Ming staggered in, tapping her cane, blushing red from being late and quietly sat down next to Cole, "Why, hello there, stranger," she winked at him, "I had much difficulty finding this place, unfortunately, and it seems they have already started..."

"I say we see where it goes" He replied.
Yín
"Looks everyone's finally here," Yín said. "And you do as you will. I for one care about the safety of everyone here."
Grim
"Ah, I didn't either. I don't think memos were given out, actually," it said, then looked up to the new girl, "Oh um, hi. There. I said it."
Patchouli
"What a miracle," Patchouli sighed, "And is that so, Professor Arstat?"
Nell
"Hey Sable, enjoying the destruction of Royce's ego" Nell said.
Yín
"Strange as it may seem, I do," Yín said. "I will do what I can to protect everyone from Mr. Cruger's antics."

"It is amusing," Sable admitted.
Mei Ming
"Mei Ming?" Cole called.
"It is you. How are you?" Cole asked

"What about you Auric?" She asked.

"Schadenfreude," Auric replied.
Mei Ming
She smiled, "Okay..." she said in regards to the other peculiar student, then turned to Cole, "Well, and yourself?" she smiled, "It's wonderful seeing you again, dear."

"I am fine. It's great to see another familiar face." Cole hugged her

Grim fiddled with his thumbs awkwardly, "Anyone want the silver paper?" he whispered to no one really. Then moved away.

Nell looked at Auric in confused frustration.
Mei Ming
"Oh!" she gasped slightly at the sudden hug but smiled and hugged back, "Yes, it is. At least I know someone here, but I think we should be paying attention."
Auric
"It's a word from a language used among a population living in the mountains of northeastern Vale," he explained. "It means 'pleasure derived from another's misery'."
Cole
"You're right." Cole stopped and regained his composure, watching the proffesors up on stage

"Then we're all in agreement" She said.

Amaranth pulled out the envelop from earlier and stared at it.

"We're having fun watching Royce squirm," Auric explained.

Grim stared at them for a second. "You are all so amusing," it stated simply.

Mei Ming smiled, glancing over at the other students occasionally and turned her attention to the professors.

Amaranth pulled out a letter from the envelope. His carefree grin slowly faded as he read it.

Patchouli crossed her legs, slightly irritated at the immaturity of the students, she then looked over to Amaranth, "Good news, I assume?" she asked.

"Wonder what's up with the older professor," Auric said. "She doesn't look too happy," Sable noted.

Amaranth remained silent as he continued reading.

"Interesting read?" Yín asked Amaranth.

She looked back to Cole, "Sorry?" she asked, "Who?"

Amaranth pulled a small picture from the envelope and leaned back. in confusion.

Yín sighed. "All right," she said. "What's wrong?" she asked Amaranth, sounding genuinely concerned.

Vermilion looked around, backing away few steps in a semi desperate attempt to get away from the insanity. "Too much noise..."

He handed Yin the photo.

Yín looked at it in confusion. "What exactly am I looking at here?" she asked Amaranth. "And Vermillion, I'm sorry if you don't like all the noise but do sit down. We need to look professional."
Vermilion
"Ugh. Fine, but only because you have a point." She sat down, the look on her face screaming existential agony.

In the picture was a girl with red hair rabbit ears who looked around the age 8. The most notable thing about her was her eyes. One green one white

"A family member?" Yín asked.

"My daughter. Apparently" He answered.

"Apparently?" Yín asked, thrown off by his answer. "What, did you pop in for a quickie with some girl and run off?"

"My word, young people," Patchouli shook her head, "Also, choice of words, really, Professor Arstat?"
Yín
"It's not as if students can hear us," Yín said. "While I do try to maintain a more formal air Professor Russet, it becomes difficult to do so when I am presented with such shocking information such as this."

Vermilion laughed. "I dunno, I find that pretty funny. Plus you'd be surprised how commonly kids are born that way, myself included." Vermilion smirked.

"Apparently happened last time I was in Atlas during my..... early carrier" He said.

"Things are happening over there," Grim noted, pointing to the professors.

"You may want to find out," Yín said. She hissed briefly before saying, "Oh, and Professor Russet, do take it easy on poor Vermillion. She's had a rough enough life as it is, and she's new. We'd like to make her feel welcome."

"I am though," Grim said simply, "And I guess you can call me Grim."

"Well, that's something I guess," Sable said to herself.

"Maybe she can come to work with me until I find a more permanent" Said Amaranth.

Patchouli nodded and turned to Vermilion, "Professor Walsh, I do apologize, let's create a better start to our relationship as colleagues, shall we?" Patchouli looked to Amaranth, "I don't find that to be a good idea, you may need to look into professional potential sitters if you can afford it."
Cole
"Your name?" Cole raised a brow

"Oh, what do I say..?" Grim asked to no one but itself really.

"The truth would be nice," Auric said.

"Okay?" Cole felt awkward and quickly turn his attention to the girl dressed in a black and white combat Skirt.

"It is," Yín said. "And it could work, but you need to form a strategy. A plan. For example, you could figure out which of us have classes when, and when you can't take care of her, those of us who are unoccupied could take care of her for you."

"I must say I agree with Professor Arstat," she said, "It would be difficult, but I am sure we can manage an eight year old all together."

"She could eat in the cafeteria," Yín said. "The hardest parts would be keeping her entertained, and educating her."

"Oh, the truth? I guess I should," Grim said, "I never really had a name. I had to give it to myself, it's an old tradition. But they wouldn't let it slide for enrolling here, so I gave myself a more normal name, I mean I am normal after all."

"I have never dealt with young children, so I would have little input here," Patchouli said.

"At one point in my life, I suddenly found myself having to care for the child of a dear friend," Yín said. "So that explains that. I suppose between all of us we could come up with a rudimentary curriculum. As for entertainment...does anyone know of any toy shops in town?"

"Actually I think I might have some looted toys and such" Said Amaranth.
Yín
"Ones appropriate for her?" Yín asked.

"Those were the greatest words ever... thank you... wait a minute.. okay..." Grim said, dumb struck.

"Really, I am impressed," Patchouli said, then turned to Vermilion, "It's fine, I'm glad we are all good now. We should all get along for the betterment of our students." Patchouli sighed, "Really, professors? Mind if I change the subject?"

"We were discussing arrangements for Amaranth's child, Professor Russet," Yín said. "What's so wrong with that? And I suppose I don't, Amaranth. Perhaps we could remedy that."

"Are we still in school right now?" Grim sighed, "Aren't we supposed to be learning..? They seem busy though.."
Auric and Sable
"I don't know what's even going on anymore," Auric said. "Royce has been building that up for a long time." "Yeah," Sable said. "It's starting to get a bit worrying, to be honest."

"Nothing, I just mind those kinds of comments, and if you could refrain from using them as we are supposed to set an example for the children here I would very much so appreciative," Patchouli said, sighing.

"Everything seems fine," Grim noted.

"We've been over this Professor Russet," Yín said somewhat exasperated. "The children can't hear us. So long as we keep our voices relatively low, we can discuss whatever we like."

Nell noticed Dagon was missing. "Hey, either of you seen one of Royce's pistols?" She asked the couple.

"I'm still trying to remember what I was doing in Atlaoooh" Amaranth realized.

Patchouli glanced over to Amaranth questioningly.

"I don't think we're allowed to leave until the professors dismiss us," Auric said. "And no Nell, I haven't."

"If you say so," Yín said. She looked out at the crowd of students. "I do believe they're getting impatient," she remarked.

"She must have some sort of scheme," Yín said. "At least, that's the only explanation I can think of."

"Hmm," Patchouli tapped her chin.

Royce was getting impatient for an answer.

Grim started panicking, "Hey, whatever you do, don't be mean to objects," it said, unsure what was going on.

Yín instinctively reached for Dark Bane and made sure her Semblance was at the ready.

Vermilion looked around. "What's going on, I'm sure I missed something."

"Actually, I think it's best that I don't give a demonstration." Royce said, pressing a fail safe button on Dagon.

"Can I go next?" Grim asked to no one really.

Patchouli sat back, "Well, the situation seems to have cleared itself up," she said.

Nell looked confused at Royce's words.

Auric let out a sigh of relief.

Cole sat up and took out a sketch book, sketching Mei Ming.

Mei Ming turned her head to Cole, not noticing he was sketching her, "Well, and yours?" she asked sweetly.

"Same old same old. And it is taking the professors to say something.." Cole added some more details to the sketch, from her hair to her clothes

Asher opened her eyes slightly and made sure to create a little energy so she doesn't fall. "I-I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened.." she said clearing her head and looking at Royce. "It was a question Mr. Cruger. What percent of your aura do you believe you use to activate your semblance?"

"Same amount as always?" He said.

<She's returned to us,> Yín thought.

"I meant a specific percent, Mr. Cruger." She states
Royce
"Oh" He thought "7%ish?" He said.

"Let us see. Could you activate your semblance please?" She asked giving a soft smile

Grim watched intensely and noticed as a tall girl with pigtails and a creepy outfit entered the auditorium and sat beside it. "Hi," it stated simply. She simply smiled in return. Grim turned away.

"Sure" Royce said taking out Dagon, pointing it at Nell a firing. The orange bolt stopped right in front of Nell's face. "I can also make it go up and down and change its shape" He added.
Patchouli
Patchouli was set aback but watched silently.
Grim
"Things are happening!" Grim exclaimed, panicking.
Amaranth
Amaranth stood up and started applauding
Rayn
Rayn was watching Professor Valentine closely, "I love this trick." She said giddily.
Heather
Heather put her head on her hands, "Oh no." She sighed
Asher
Asher smirks and says, "For once, you are right Mr. Cruger. 7% of your aura is used to activate your semblance." She says nodding with achievement, "And how much do you think is required to change your...what is it?" She said, asking about the plasma.
Royce
"Plasma. The 4rth state of matter" He answered.
Auric
"Hey, it's still going," Auric said.
Asher
"Very well then, your plasma." She smirked, "What percent of your aura?" She asked still smirking

"THATS TRUE!" Grim exclaimed standing up, "PLASMA IS THE FOURTH STATE OF MATTER!" Grim sat back down very nervous.

<What's with HIM?> Sable thought, thoroughly confused by the strange person's behavior.

"Oh look, another new person," Auric remarked when the girl with pigtails entered.
Asher
Asher looked at the student who had created the outburst and drained 2% of their energy for them to calm down slightly and looked back to Royce to continue.
Royce
"I'm going to go with I don't know" He said.
Nell
"Could you 2 please wrap this up" Said Nell.
Asher
"Then please, demonstrate for me how you can change the plasma." She said gesturing forward and taking a step back
Nell
"OK" He complied, bending it around Nell's head.
Cole
Cole observed from the stands.
"Interesting... I should modify with that... orange thing. Increasing Quickshot's effectiveness by a little." Cole whispered to himself
Yín
<Interesting,> Yín thought. <I wonder...>
Asher
Asher walks up to the podium, "Thank you Mr. Cruger, you may take your seat."
Grim
"It's plassmaaaaa," Grim whispered into Cole's ear ghost like.
Royce
"You're welcome" He said as the plasma dissipated.
Nell
"I hate you" Nell said to Royce.
Cole
"Grim, please don't do that... It's creepy... and it violates my person space." Cole said.
Amaranth
"Out. Standing!" Said Amaranth
Yín
"Certainly a sight to behold," remarked Yín.
Grim
"Ok," it said simply and left them.
Asher
Asher cleared her throat, "Some of you may be asking, 'What was the point of that?'."
Patchouli
"I see great potential with this one," Patchouli also remarked silently.
Auric
"Yeah, among other things," Auric said to himself.
Sylvan
Sylvan watched the display with interest. Man, it'd certainly be interesting to give a display of his own semblance...Yín had to be dying to know, after their meeting.
Mei Ming
Mei Ming leaned over and whispered to Cole, "What was that? Are you okay? Where did that person appear from?" she asked.
Cole
"It's fine. He's another student... A very strange one.." Cole said
Asher
"Well, the point was to show you, that you do not know yourself as well as you think you do." She paused for a second, "Mr. Cruger did not know the minimum of his ability. So, how can he know his maximum?" She waited for a few more seconds.
Auric
"By pouring more of his aura into it?" Auric guessed.
Grim
Grim raised its hand and waved it around.
Rayn
Rayn hit Auric's arm, "Just wait for it."
Amaranth
Amaranth was perplexed by Grimm "What's his deal?"
Asher
Asher looked at Grim and nodded to say 'go ahead' although she didn't say it.
Auric and Sable
"Hey, ow!" Auric complained. "That was uncalled for," Sable said to Rayn in a deadly serious tone. "Hurt my love again, and I'll hurt you." "Now now dearest," Auric said. "We do not mutilate our friends."
Royce
"Could you 2 please not" Snarked Royce.
Cole
"But do, do it to the Grimms around the kingdoms." Cole said, turning to his sketch book, flipping through concept stages of modifying his bow, quiver and arrows. Cole reached a new pages and wrote "Plasma Arrow" on it, begining to design the plasma arrow
Grim
"By measuring it electronically?" Grim closed its eyes nervously, dwiddling with its scythe.
Auric
"What do you have against love?!" Auric asked Royce in a mock-tortured voice.
Rayn
"Your sarcasm was uncalled for." Rayn looked at Sable, "I'm sorry, I didn't know you two were together." She said looking back at the professor, "For the record, Auric, you have no idea how cool Professor Valentine really is."
Royce
"Nothing, just I don't like those kinds of couples" He answered.
Asher
"You cannot measure your aura electronically, Ceifeiro. The way you know your maximum peak, is first knowing your minimum. That is your first lesson in Aura Control." She said walking off of the podium and sitting back down.
Rayn
Rayn nodded in agreement with Royce.
Amaranth
"Hey Ash, guess what?" Amaranth asked.
Auric
"Hey man, I was legit guessing," Auric said to Rayn. "And you!" he said as he turned to Royce. "You are a bad!" he said.
Grim
Grim chuckled and scratched the back of its head, "Guess I was wrong," it said.
Royce
"How?" Said Royce.
Auric
"You're just bad," Auric said.
Asher
She looks at Amaranth, "What?"
Sylvan
Sylvan nudged the girl next to him slightly, whispering to her and raising a finger. "Realizing I didn't get the chance to show you." He closed his eyes, charging up his aura very slightly before tracing a bit in the air, a small streak of blue light appearing in front of him that slowly began to fade from the beginning end.
Grim
"Am I a bad?" Grim whispered to itself, overhearing the other's conversation.
Nell
"He's not wrong" Said Nell.
Amaranth
"Just found out I'm a dad" Said Amaranth.
Heather
Her eyes widen, "that's so..." She didn't know how to describe it, but she was fascinated.
Auric
"No, you're not a bad," Auric said to Grim. "I don't know about you yet. So far you seem okay."
Asher
"Really? When?" She asked a bit fascinated.
Grim
"Thank you, you do not know how much your words have calmed me," Grim teared up a bit.
Yín
Yín saw Sylvan's Semblance. She hissed briefly and quietly and said, "Impressive."
Amaranth
"8 years ago in Atlas after some recreational drinking." He said. "Here she is" Amaranth handed Asher the picture.
Asher
Asher took the picture and looked at the little girl, "Her eyes.." she said looking at his.
Sylvan
So, the professor had seen him from across the room...right, time to go a step further. When the small streak of light had faded away, he focused a bit more, drawing more power out of his aura to draw a spiralling circle in front of them. This time, it stayed for longer. Eyes opening to reveal that the usual steel blue had grown in vibrance, glowing with an azure light, he then punched the spiral, watching as it shattered like glass and disintegrated into glittering shards.
Amaranth
"Kind of a dead give away" Amaranth chuckled.
Asher
Asher smiles and looked back down at the picture, "she's beautiful."
Heather Heather kept looking in awe, her mouth slightly open.
Yín
"Now he's just showing off," Yín said as she watched Sylvan's work.
Cole
"That means we can study them." Cole smirked as he wrote down everything Sylvan was doing
Amaranth
"Yeah, probably gets none of it from me" Said Amaranth.
Yín
"She has your eyes," Yín said to Amaranth.
Amaranth
"Yes, my incredibly weird eyes." He said. "But that's about it"
Asher
"You're a young bachelor. She may not have gotten her faunus like features from you, but eyes are the door to the soul." She said smiling with encouragement.
Cole
Cole slowly leaned back and sneaked out of the auditorium, trying to finf some room to be alone and breathe
Mei Ming
Mei Ming frowned as she noticed Cole leave, debating whether or not to follow, but remained put.
Yín
"We have someone trying to sneak out," Yín said.
Grim
"Is it time to go?" Grim whispered, getting up and gripping its scythe ready to attack seemingly.
Amaranth
"Should I. You know, do my thing?" Amaranth asked.
Patchouli
"By all means," Patchouli said, smiling.
Sylvan
He watched the girl's reaction with interest, the glow fading from his eyes. "It's...kind of odd, but fun to play with. Definitely has its uses, though." It was true, he had occasionally snuck into night clubs growing up, using raves as an excuse to analyze hand motions for combat purposes. Plus, let's face it: it was fun.
Asher
"It wouldn't hurt." Asher shrugged.
Heather
"You can change your eyes...?" Heather asked nervously.
Cole
Amaranth vanished in a flash of green and appeared in front of Cole. "Going somewhere?"
Sylvan
"Huh? Oh, that's a side effect of repurposing my aura for hardlight creation. It's...kind of why I usually close them." It was true, Sylvan didn't exactly have control over the odd glowing effect that his eyes gained while using his semblance. Maybe he just needed practice?
Cole
Cole sat under a tree with his legs crossed. "Alone. Much better. The proffesors would most possibly come after me. So, better make this quick." Cole breathe in and out, closing his eyes slowly. Suddenly, images of his past began to flash right before him. "No... no... Not now... Just..." Cole opened his eyes, looking at his hands, they were bloodied. Shocked, Cole closed his eyes and shook his head, opening them and saw that they were fine once more. He was breathing heavily and sweating a lot all of the sudden. Looking up to the person that spoke, Cole quinted his eyes at the figure as the sun was shining down on him. "N.. no. I just wanted some alone time. Do pardon me for leaving without any notice.." Cole stood up and bowed
Yín
Yín smiled evilly, wide enough that her fangs showed, as she watched Amaranth at work.
Amaranth
"Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way" Amaranth offered.
Heather
She changed her eye color to silver on demand, "Why hide it?" She turned her eyes back to red.
Cole
"The easy way would be in proper." Cole continued to bow, not looking at Amaranth
Amaranth
"Kid, you don't need to bow. Just go back in the auditorium" He said.
Sylvan
The sudden change surprised him, her eyes turning a vivid silver color for a split second. "W-wow. That's...kind of cool." Was it an effect of the girl's semblance? Or something else?
Cole
"Yes sir." Cole stood up straight and walked past Amaranth, into the auditorium.
Amaranth
Amaranth made his way up to the stage and sat down. "Think we should wrap this up" He said.
Rayn
Rayn was looking at Cole enter, "Someone shouldn't have snook off." She said while laughing a little.
Yín
"Probably for the best," Yín said. "Nice work by the way."
Amaranth
"Why thank you" He said
Grim
Everything happening all at once was too much for Grim. It gripped its scythe nervously bringing it up.
Cole
"I would if it wasn't for the meddling Proffesor!" Cole moved this right arm across his body jokingly
Rayn
Rayn laughed a little, "I'm sure he's not that bad."
Cole
"He wasn't, he was friendly and nice." Cole complimented as he sat down beside Mei Ming
Patchouli
"I think we may have another problem," Patchouli sighed and stood up and pulled out her gun, "A little anti-anxiety medicine will help this student's outbursts and behavior, what say you all?" She asked the others.
Mei Ming
Mei Ming smiled at Cole, "Trip alright?" she asked him.
Yín
"Do it," Yín said.
Amaranth
"Do it Do it Do it Do It" Amaranth chanted.
Cole
"Yes. It was fine. I'll tell you about it later though.." Cole said with a smile
Asher
"Patch, put the gun down." She said standing up, "if you would like, I can drain more of his energy." She now stood in the way of the gun.
Amaranth
"Or I could knock him out" Amaranth offered.
Patchouli
Being called a nickname struck a nerve but Patchouli proceeded to sit down, "If you insist, by all means," she said, "We wouldn't want a student hooked up this medication if it doesn't need it anyhow."
Cole
"Let's not resolve this wih violence shall we? Maybe I can help." Cole suggested
Asher
Asher sighed with relief and turned to Grim, taking away 20% of their energy, hoping their nerves would calm down.
Mei Ming
Mei Ming smiled back, "Alright," she said, "Ah, what seems to be the problem now?" she asked.
Cole
"Grim is just paranoid. It happens sometimes... Truth to be told, I used to be paranoid but after nearly two months of therapy, I was back to this Chill-O-meter Cole." Cole stated
Mei Ming
"Please never say that name again," Mei Ming giggled, "But I understand, poor thing." She clicked her tongue.
Cole
"Alright." Cole rolled his eyes and chuckled
Grim
Grim suddenly felt a little more fatigued than it usually felt, a little zoned out, it sat back down frowning confusedly. "I don't really feel that anxious anymore..." it realized, "Huh, and I didn't even have to use those dumb breathing exercises or go to my special place. It's a miracle!!"
Amaranth
"Good work Ash" Said Amaranth "Yin, if you'd be so kind as to dismiss everyone"
Patchouli
"Yes, I agree with Professor Oliver," Patchouli turned to Yín, "Go on."
Yín
"But of course," Yín said as she stood up. She walked to the podium and cleared he throat to get the students' attention.
Auric "Hey, snake-lady's back," Auric whispered.
Grim
Grim looked up but said nothing.
Asher
Asher smiles with his compliment and sat back down.
Heather and Rayn Heather & Rayn both looked up at Yin at the same time and wondered if it was time to leave.
Nell and Royce
Nell and Royce stopped bickering
Cole
Cole watched attentively
Yín
Yín hissed quietly and briefly before speaking. "Thank you all for coming," she began. "And thank you all for your patience. For those of you who came in late, I will say again: at this school, everyone is either a friend...or a foe. That is for you to decide. Your initiation will be in but a matter of days. This event will determine your teams. Teams will be together for the duration of their stay here at Beacon. For the time being, you will sleep in the conference hall. I suggest you get some rest. Dismissed."
Rayn
Rayn sighs, "Finally."
Cole
"I could just go to the nearest roof or garden or a tree even, Conference halls aren't my thing." Cole joked
Yín
Yín stepped down from the podium. "That went fairly well," she said.
Auric and Sable "Let's go get set up," Auric said. Sable nodded in reply. "We'll catch you guys later," Auric said as they turned to leave. "Bye," Sable said.
Cole
"Bye you two. I'll wait for Mei Ming" Cole said, laying his head on the table
Grim
"Time to go? Yes! And here I thought no one would come because it's too crowded!" it said with a slash of its scythe, creating an odd tear in space and time with a weird, distortion dimension on the other side of the tear. Grim entered it and the tear disappeared.
Rayn
Rayn's mouth was completely open, "What...what..what just..." She had no idea what that kid just did.
Patchouli
"Some minor mishaps," Patchouli stated, "But all in all, well." She looked over to Grim, "Ah, interesting... There is some odd form of dimensional energy coming from that child.. I will have to look more into this," she said but commented no further as she got up to leave as well, planning to return to the lab.
Mei Ming
Mei Ming tapped Cole's shoulder, "We can go if you'd like, Cole." She smiled, not understanding what happened.
Cole
"Weird... but.. cool.. but.. Weird.. very weird.." Cole comented, he had his fair share of weird anomalies during his time Mistral, this one may be the trump card
"Well, do you want to find a spot to sleep in the conference hall or a tent in a patch of grass?" He suggested
Rayn
Rayn made her way out of the auditorium, still wondering what happened.
Mei Ming
"My, Cole, are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?" she giggled, blushing.
Cole
"Em... Camping? Is that what you meant?" Cole asked raising a brow
Mei Ming
"Sure, why not?" she said, giggling even more.
Yín
"Well, if there's nothing else, I do believe I'll see myself out," Yín said.
Heather
Heather sighed, "I guess that's it then." She smiled at Sylvan
Sylvan
"Yeah, I suppose so." He watched as the professors began their exit, the various students flooding out of the auditorium. Well...what now? Sylvan's last regular delivery had been today, so there wasn't much to do...well, unless he was to find a random perch and listen to music, or work on his skating technique… He seemed to be lost in though, shaking his head and getting to his feet before turning to face his new friend. "So uh...where to?"
Heather
"I suppose we could go to the conference hall. Or be adventurous and wander the school grounds. Or go out into the city and explore." She suggests and half smiles, "it's up to you."
Sylvan
"E-exploration sounds like fun, actually." So she DID want to hang out...this day was definitely looking up.
Heather
"Okay great, let's get exploring." She playfully punches his arm and starts walking towards the exit.
Sylvan
"Yes, ma'am!" He grinned with a visible fang in the corner of his mouth, vaulting over the seat to catch up with her.
